Enter Canada
If you are planning to travel to Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic, you will need to use the ArriveCAN app to provide your contact information and travel history.
The ArriveCAN app is available for free on the App Store and Google Play and as an online form on our website. Once you have opened the form, you will need to provide your contact information, travel history, and plans for your time in Canada.
You will also need to provide your contact information to the airline or other transportation company that you are using to travel to Canada. They will use this information to contact you if there is a need to change your travel plans due to the pandemic.
If you are entering Canada by land, you will need to provide your contact information to the border services officer when you arrive at the border.
Once you have arrived in Canada, it is important to self-isolate for 14 days, even if you do not have any symptoms of COVID-19. This will help to prevent the spread of the virus to other members of the community.
If you have any questions or concerns about your travel plans or entering Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic, be sure to reach out to the ArriveCAN team for support and guidance.

It's important to note that you will need to submit your information before you board your flight, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time.
The whole process should only take a few minutes, and once you're done you'll be able to relax and enjoy your trip to Canada.
Exemptions
If you arrive in Canada by air, you must complete the ArriveCAN online application before you board your flight.
This includes providing information about your travel history, contact information and health symptoms.
You may be exempt from completing the ArriveCAN application if you:
- Are travelling directly to Nunavut, Northwest Territories or Yukon
- Are a crew member working on a commercial flight, train, ship or bus

If you are exempt from completing ArriveCAN, you will still have to present your travel documents and answer a few questions at the airport about your health.
Regardless of whether or not you need to complete ArriveCAN, it is important to arrive prepared for screening at the airport, as Canadian border officials are responsible for protecting the health and safety of all Canadians.
With the right information and preparations, you can arrive in Canada with ease and start your new life here.
Testing for Covid-19 and ArriveCAN

- take another COVID-19 test on day 10 of your quarantine
